Week 2 of the NFL season is proven to be a costly one to a lot of teams around the league. There have been a lot of stars and franchise players leave games this week.
Alec Pierce - The Indianapolis Colts lost their top receiver during the first half against the Kansas City Chiefs. Pierce was running a route and pulled up lame with a noncontact injury.
Jayden Daniels - Daniels went down on the final play before halftime with a dislocated elbow in the Washington Commanders NFC East matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. Daniels is a player that just can't seem to stay healthy for a full season. This could be RGIII all over again with Daniels being highly drafted as the team's franchise quarterback.
Caleb Williams - This was a tough one to watch. Williams went down on a noncontact leg injury while scrambling in the redzone trying to score against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears ended up losing the game 9-3 in a key NFC North Divisional matchup. Turns out that Williams just had a hamstring injury despite those dramatics on the field
Saquon Barkley - The Philadelphia Eagles may have dodged a bullet when they saw Barkley leave the game early against the Tennessee Titans. Barkley missed most of the game but did come back out and see limited action in the second half. Barkley is set for an MRI on his knee. The Eagles seem to be pretty stacked in the backfield if Barkley misses any time.
Jaxson Dart - This was another tough injury for a New York Giants team that was showing a lot of upsides during their week one win against the Dallas Cowboys. It seems Dart will be out for an extended amount of time with a severe knee injury.
Cobie Durant - This was the strangest injury ever. Durant was injured when a teammate stepped on his backside. At first Durant was listed as having a groin injury but now has been ruled a hamstring. I'd say hamstring too if I was injured like that. The Dallas Cowboys are already limited in their secondary with Malik Hooker sidelined with a broken arm and DeMarvion Overshown out again with one of his many injuries.
